Barbara Dennerlein fait partie d'un petit cercle d'artistes allemands jouissant d'une réputation internationale. Ses CD ont été récompensés à de nombreuses reprises, Take Off a même atteint le sommet des charts de jazz et a été l'album de jazz allemand le plus vendu de l'année. Dans ses enregistrements et ses concerts, elle s'est imposée comme membre d'une nouvelle génération de musiciens de jazz et est considérée par ses pairs et le public comme l'une des meilleures joueuses de ses instruments : le légendaire Hammond B3 et le puissant orgue à tuyaux.
L'auditeur est plongé dans de nouveaux univers sonores, un mélange de jazz au sens large et d'éléments classiques. Ce n'est plus un artiste sur la reine des instruments, mais la reine de l'orgue d'église qui maîtrise totalement son instrument comme un moyen vital d'exprimer ses intentions musicales. Lors de ce concert à l'église Saint-Martin de Dudelange, Barbara Dennerlein se produira avec le saxophoniste de jazz luxembourgeois Laurent Pierre. Ce dernier joue dans plusieurs formations luxembourgeoises, dont le Luxembourg Jazz Orchestra, dirige son propre quintette de jazz et se produit régulièrement en tant que soliste. Leur interaction permettra d'élargir encore la palette sonore quasi infinie de l'orgue d'église.

Barbara Dennerlein is one of a small circle of German artists with an international reputation. Her CDs have won numerous awards, Take Off even topped the jazz charts and was the best-selling German jazz album of the year. In her recordings and concerts, she has established herself as a member of a new generation of jazz musicians, and is regarded by her peers and audiences as one of the leading players on her instruments: the legendary Hammond B3 and the powerful pipe organ.
The listener is plunged into new worlds of sound, a blend of jazz in the broadest sense and classical elements. It's no longer an artist on the queen of instruments, but the queen of the church organ in total control of her instrument as a vital means of expressing her musical intentions. In this concert at St Martin's Church in Dudelange, Barbara Dennerlein will be performing with Luxembourg jazz saxophonist Laurent Pierre. Pierre plays in a number of Luxembourg groups, including the Luxembourg Jazz Orchestra, leads his own jazz quintet and performs regularly as a soloist. Their interaction will further expand the church organ's almost infinite palette of sounds.
